Emanating out of Central Virginia is The Brothers Hoodoo, a diverse four piece band with an exquisite concoction of Blues, Rock and Americana. Formed in 2016, the band is comprised of lead singer and guitarist Sean Leonard, drummer Randy Short, lead guitarist George Welsh, and bassist and vocalist Ben Carlisle. Together each member brings to the forefront of The Brothers Hoodoo their varying influences and experiences, which defines the band and accords its “rough edge” sound. Influenced by the music of renowned artists like Waylon Jennings, Otis Redding, and Willie Nelson, is what frame the basis of Sean’s sonic vibe to the band’s musical presence. Blessed with years of drumming experience is Randy, who is classed with honing the band’s sound and image. Trained in the variating expressions of classical and jazz guitar is George Welsh, as he cyphers the ecliptic edge of the bands riffs and smooth tones. Ben’s bass playing skills, harmonious vocals and compulsion for all which encompasses the creation of music puts him at the core of the band. Despite being a new entity to the music world, The Brothers Hoodoo has already released a demo that captures the timeless essence of the bands musical expressions. The band’s instrumental elements and expressive vocals fuse impeccably and truly manifest in their cover tracks ‘Drive’, ‘Good Day For The Blues’, ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’ and ‘You Wreck Me’.
